Our story

It started with our own cars.

Elite Upholstery began with the interiors of the things we use every day: first our own vehicles, then friends' cars, a sofa at home, a set of boat seats. Somewhere along the way the craft stuck.

Today we're a couple-run shop, and every project gets our personal attention from start to finish. Jay is a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than 30 years in the automotive world, from engines to full body work, and he brings that same mechanical eye to every frame and seat he opens up.

We assess the structure, springs and padding before new material goes on. The goal isn't just a nicer look. It's more comfort and a longer life for the pieces you use every day.

Good to know

How much does re-upholstery cost?

It depends on the size of the piece, how much rebuilding the frame and padding need, and the fabric. That's why we quote from photos: send a few and we'll give you a real number instead of a guess.

Can I bring my own fabric?

Yes. Customer-supplied fabric is welcome. We'll tell you how many yards you need before you buy, so you don't come up short.

How long does a job take?

It varies with the piece and whether fabric needs to be ordered. You'll get a timeline with your quote, and we'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Do you do small repairs?

Yes: a single torn cushion, a split car seat bolster, one boat seat. Small jobs are welcome.

Do you work on boats and classic cars?

Both. Marine seating gets UV-rated vinyl and quick-dry foam made for Florida weather, and automotive work benefits from more than 30 years of hands-on car experience.

What areas do you serve?

Broward and Miami-Dade counties, from Pompano Beach and Coral Springs down through Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Aventura and Miami. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.
